New Years Eve Dinner

I'm so excited for 2012! This year has been tough but we've diffenently seen the Lord working with us during these times. After all, my ultimate goal is to glorify Him in every situation I encounter. Bring on 2012.....10,9,8,7,6, 5....

Thought we'd have some fun to kick off our new year. I'm going to make a center piece out of all kinds of clocks and set them all for midnight. (Well, that will actually be earlier but the kids will think it's midnight.) I'm going to use watches for my napkin rings....this jewelry lady has a few in her stash. My kids love eating on the china so setting it out tonight.

We normally have fondue but the younger kids didn't do so well with it last year. So, I'm going to use it for dessert so I can play off of the theme but add it back in when they're older.

Grilled Rib Eye Steaks or whatever steak is on sale....Grilled courtesy of my hot husband. Roasted Brussel Sprouts and Alton Brown's Baked Macaroni & Cheese. http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/baked-macaroni-and-cheese-recipe/index.html

For dessert: Chocolate Fondue with Pound Cake, Marshmallows, Apple, Orange Slices & Rice Krispy Treats cut into star shapes. We can't use strawberries cause my little man is allergic to them....bummer cause he loves them.

We're making our party hats tomorrow. I've been working on the yarn pom poms today so anxious to see how they like them on their hats.

We wish all of you a Happy & Blessed 2012 from our house to yours!
